'I'm from US – I was gobsmacked by how different Easter eggs are in the UK'

An American man has been left gobsmacked by how many fill supermarket shelves in the UK - and how many different options there are.

When it comes to holidays, Americans are known for doing it the best; from huge celebrations to dramatic Halloween decorations. And while it is one of the main industries in the event and packaging of senseless holidays, it seems Easter has never really been embraced - and the US celebrations are much smaller.

Meanwhile in the UK, once is over in the UK, we typically start to see Easter eggs being stocked in . Every year, families will hand out Easter eggs for one and other - some left spending weeks munching on post Easter. On average, kids receive just under 9 Easter eggs each every year, and consumers are likely to spend 1.5million on the chocolate treats, .

Viral food reviewer know as Kalani Ghost Hunter, who boasts a whopping 3.1million followers on , loves reviewing British food. The viral man, who is from Tennessee, was stunned after walking into recently and spotted rows and rows of Easter eggs.

In a clip shared on his TikTok page on Friday [April 4], Kalani said: "I am in absolute heaven right now. Let me show you what I'm looking at in the UK - we don't really have this in the US. Look at all the freaking Easter eggs."

He was wowed after spotting an After Eight egg and signed in amazement at the Ferrero Rocher white chocolate egg. After noticing more stacks of the treats, the wowed food reviewer said: "Look at this one - a Kit Kat Chunky with Biscoff. That egg has to be banging."

He also found eggs from Terry's Chocolate Orange, Thorntons, Galaxy and Reese's. He was also shocked to see Tesco branded eggs, and said Tesco's Finest dark chocolate and orange hallow egg "looks absolutely banging".

He added: "There's so many eggs, I don't even know, I need to buy some to send home my family so that we can try some because we don't really this level of selection when it comes to Easter eggs."

"I just can't believe my entire life, up until the past year, I had no idea that they made eggs this big."

One shocked Brit wrote in the comments and said: "SORRY YOU DONT HAVE EASTER EGGS IN THE US?!" Another confused individual said: "Is Easter not a big deal in America but? Why don’t they have eggs?"

Another wrote: "It's so odd to me that America has every unhealthy food imaginable but doesn't have Easter eggs."

One Brit who now lives in America, shared: "They have crème eggs, Easter bunny’s for example. But I’m a Brit in US and for the first time I was able to buy a Cadbury Easter egg on Amazon. I’ve been here 10yrs and not been able to."

The Easter egg difference between the two nations was also discussed in a post, after people in the US received chocolate eggs. Someone wrote: "There are chocolate easter eggs, but it isn't a 'thing'. Like, you'll be just as likely to get a chocolate bunny or something. You don't get one from each relative."

Another added: "A really popular thing is to buy colourful plastic eggs and fill them with different kinds of candy (jelly beans, chocolates, etc). Then put them in an Easter basket."
